Welcome to my world of soulful dreamscapes & majestic animals

Hey, I’m Nicky Mac — a UK based surreal, fine artist. I create soulful, dream led, symbolic portraiture that acts as a mirror to the inner world, each piece a visual poem of resilience, transformation, self expression and quiet power. I hope that my work invites viewers to pause, reflect, and connect with something deeper, the parts of themselves they’ve forgotten or longed to express. I see my art as a dialogue between the fractured and the whole, the seen and the unseen, trying to find some sort of coherence, meaning and spiritual guidance amongst the chaos and confusion.

Right now, I’m working across two imaginative worlds.
‘Head in the Clouds’ is my dreamy, introspective side — a collection of soft, surreal, and symbolic portraits inspired by my own emotions, whilst negotiating the ups and downs of peri-menopause, grief and loss, feelings of disconnection, and learning to age with grace and acceptance in midlife.  My artwork serves as a visual narrative of a personal journey, touching on themes of transformation, inner strength, empowerment, and spiritual awakening, hopefully inviting viewers of my art to slow down, stop and reflect on their own paths and identities too.  

Then there’s ‘Majestic Animals Anonymous’, where the quirky, mythical, wild and whimsical come out to play. These bold, eccentric animal characters each have their own personality, designed to make you smile, feel something — or both. Each piece becomes a personal talisman for its owner. Some collectors of my art have actually said that my art channels something deep or spiritual, which makes me feel that I’m on the right path with my art, as it’s a subconscious emotion that is being expressed, something that goes beyond thought itself. 

I work in both digital and traditional mediums — sometimes blending the two — layering acrylics, oils, and expressive mark-making using the palette knife aswell as brushwork and line drawing to bring added life, texture, depth, movement and feeling into each piece. Whether I’m painting soulful dreamscapes or crown-wearing flamingos, I’m always chasing a mood: something heartfelt, a little offbeat, and full of wonder. These statement pieces are made for those who decorate their spaces with boldness, heart and a love for all things organic, wild and soulful.

Nicky is an award-winning, expressive, artist who is now pursuing a life-long dream, manifesting her best creative life as a professional artist. She has exhibited at shows, art fairs and galleries mainly in London and Kent. She is represented by Euphoric Arts Gallery & Millesime Art   and previously Ad-lib Gallery in Wimbledon Village. She has sold artwork to private collectors homes across the UK and worldwide.
